I've been using this app for years now and it has never given me any problems. I love how all my saved pages can be read for offline reading and are presented in a neat, minimalistic layout. My only complaint is that I wish deleted articles are stored in a recycle bin so we can retrieve them in case we made a mistake and some pages are also unable to be downloaded in article view. Other than that, splendid job. ☺
Update:- ok the offline article problem seems to have been solved so changing my review. But have still withheld 5 star coz of lack of custom fonts and margins please bring those back. Also offline dictionary within the app would greatly appreciated. Used to be a great app but recently has become very buggy. Many times articles disappear when offline have to reconnect to internet to get the article to download. No custom font and margins option in Android even in the premium version what's up with that.
Great app to save reading for later, however in the constant push for new features and integrations it lost the important things on the way. Numerous times I wasnt able to see my downloaded content, often far from any coverage. I don't find it too reliable anymore.
You can't really do any better than what pocket has done for reading. The easiest part is saving an article. No fuss, no options, just click "share to pocket" from any app on your phone and that's it!
It's easy to save, but inconvenient to manage articles. (1) If you have already read (Archived) article like a year before, adding it again simply moves it back from Archived to the main List (it shouldn't in simplest behavior or should warn). (2) It is impossible to sort the main List anyhow - the topmost article is always the last added. Regardless how soon it was intended for reading after addition, it will stay on top occupying default screen and forcing you to scroll for more interesting ones. In its simplest behavior it should be possible to "Move It to the Bottom".
The Text-to-speech experience is really bad. The tracking is poor, laggy, and often leaves the app completely unusable. It is hard to navigate back and forth during TTS. Also, the TTS interface does not respect the system settings. In particular, the maximum speed is much too slow. I listen to ebooks with TTS in MoonReader, which is at least four times faster. Also, it should be possible to use swipe gestures to archive items from the overview, but obviously it's not because the UI must be consistently poor and disappointing.
Minor bug fixes and improvements.
