Reluctant to try it, I downloaded Pocket expecting it to displease me, because I've used Pocket before and I honestly wasn't a fan. The developers have done an amazing job making some changes since the last I used it and to me, these changes make all the difference. I find the nature of Pocket so convenient. "Save items that matter to you and access them. Any time, anywhere." I love the text-to-speech/TTS feature and I'm finally finding lots of convenience in using Pocket. Thanks, Pocket! I'm looking forward to future improvements and updates.
Nice app but it could be better Very useful app but it doesn't seem to work with Wikipedia unless I manually switch to web view. I'd buy a premium version if it were a one off payment; I just don't want to have to pay for it indefinitely. Edit: Wikipedia bug fixed, changing my rating from a 3 to a 5.
TTS abruptly stops after sometime. The last time I downloaded this app, I didn't find it very useful. But this time I really loved it, mainly because of its TTS feature besides others. But whenever I use the listening feature, it abruptly stops after a couple of minutes and requires to be restarted. The time after which it stops is variable, and it can be anywhere in between the text, be it in between a sentence. Otherwise, loved it. 💜
Used to be my favorite app I use it a lot, but it's now a constant source of frustration. Articles added (from my desktop browsers, through the share menu or as a copy pasted link), quite often don't get downloaded, but appear in the list. Then the app will repeatedly download them every time I open them, which is both slow and is eating up my data plan or worse, I'm not able to read if I don't have a connection at all.
Works fine and updates OK but again to v18.104.22.168 but version number is unchanged. What's New in in this update? Google Play What's New hasn't changed and doesn't show detailed version number so will not know what's new or fixed: "Crash and bug fixes. Improved support for Android N. Reduced battery usage." On HTC ONE [m7] Vodafone 4g Android 5.0.2, Sense 6.0, SmartLauncher 3.20.08(beta).
Articles not readable offline I am terribly disappointed. I really thought I was downloading articles for later reading. In fact without a web connection, the articles remain out of reach. Please provide an option for reading articles when offline. Secondly, when saving an article, I get an error message, "Couldnt save to pocket". Note7/Marshmallow.
