The latest English update stops the app from loading properly any content in any area. Live TV has never worked. It I want to see the news, I have to switch languages to Deutsch, which runs an older and more functional version of DW. I used to love seeing a Eurocentric news source with good funding and views, but unfortunately I cannot utilize it successfully any longer.

App 8s great, news feels a little filtered but much more global than most. Good selection of written content (I don't like video stuff). The photo essays are often cut off through, so it's impossible to read the associated notes

The app is unfortunately full of bugs. Most of the time, notifications will open a white empty page, videos keep pausing every half second (they're totally unviewable), sometimes articles will reload causing the scroll to reset, and if the connection is poor the reset article won't open up anymore. It's one of the poorest apps I've ever used.
