I decided to pay for the premium or IFTTT plus or whatever you want to call it. Almost every applets is not working. It's either disconnected or not connected at all. And no notifications. I thought this was the whole purpose of using this fabulous app to get notifications when something is not working. Let me guess... Someone was trying to update something and this is the result. Why not fix the current issue and then update something that won't be useful anyway. Just disappointed, that's all.

I used to love this app, but haven't used it in years. I tried to start using it again today to give my boyfriend a wake up call while I'm away so I don't have to wake up at 5AM. They made the phone call action a paid feature. I stopped using IFTTT because they limited how many programs you can run without paying, but now you can't even use the most basic triggers or actions? And it appears they removed some alternatives so you're FORCED to pay. It's just so ridiculously scummy. Just have ads.

Hey there, thanks for your feedback. Some actions, like phone calls, require Pro but many Triggers, Actions, and Applets are available on the free plan, including the VOIP calls service. There are thousands of Applets to choose from on the free tier. If you need help getting started please contact support+android@ifttt.com.

1/6/26 UPDATE: Wow! Hey developer, ever heard of mobile data? Not to mention, the video is saved on the device and deletion can be scheduled in the app to save storage. Try Automate. I was looking for a better app, I guess I already use it (and no subscription)! OP: Wanted my phone to record video while driving. No results in my search for the trigger or action. All they want you to do is pay for their pro tier to automate activities with other platforms. Best to stick with Tasker or Automate.

That sounds like a great use case, but unfortunately, it's not feasible. As it stands, there is no way to automatically start recording video on an Android device. Additionally, you would need a smart car to send a web request when it starts driving. I would encourage you to explore our published Applets for similar automations.
