I had one job for this app... one... and it can't even do that properly (and by itself). I wanted to set up my WeMo insight so that it would turn on and off during the night, turn on when it is 4AM or at 45% batter and off when it was at 100%. IFTTT was not able to do this so I paired it with another automation app, so now all IFTTT had to do was read my SMS and turn the WeMo insight on and off based on a key phrase in the SMS. Still it can't do this properly. I've woken up several times in the past weeks with a phone that is not charged, as soon as I unlock the phone, IFTTT would then activate and turn the power on even though the SMS was sent 3 hours ago. This is not an user error either as I've made sure the three apps responsible, the other automation app (which is working fine), IFTTT and WeMo was in the unmonitored apps list which ensures these apps are not turned off ever. I'll consider giving this a better review when it actually does what I need it to do and done on time as well.

Have only been able to get one recipe to work. All location based fail but I have no issue with other like apps. Would be awesome to have the ability for multiple conditions to trigger. Not sure if you can already but I can't figure how.

Really f'n unreliable. Applets just stop working. I have to edit and save them again to get them going. What's the point of automation if you constantly have to check on whether they are working?

Zero support. Have contacted them three times now with the same problem (unable to register an account) over the last two months and they have yet to get back to me. Would recommend trying one of the many alternatives.

It's still a little clunky but the idea is there. For example I need to toggle recipes sometimes to get them to work properly. But once it starts working it seems to stick. If you're a tinkerer this is a fun app to explore.

I'm not sure what you've done recently but half of the time my phone won't go on vibrate at the time I've set for it. This has been happening for a couple of weeks. Prior to it has worked without fail for years.

Limited usefulness because app lacks "and" and "or" operators to combine multiple (if this) triggers. Example, cannot setup applet: If I leave work location "and" clock is after 5:00pm, send SMS text message to spouse. The "and" is important so that applet is not triggered when I leave work location for lunch or errands.
Does not work on its own despite having recipes created. Have to open the app to remind it that it has to set recipes in motion. The more updates it gets the worse.
Great app for granular trigger based control of your phone and makes complex conditional settings very easy. However, the inability to change the notification tone baffles me!
Works good once in a while, usually fails completely most of the time. Delay of an hour or more for 'when entering (or exiting) a specific area' is unacceptable. Daily Mute/Unmute at certain times does not work. Galaxy S7.
It's made my Smart Home that much "smarter" with all the extra things I can do with my Hue, Echo, Google Home amongst other things. It's fun to create different Applets and see what happens!
Seeing location for the widgets are iffy, keeps asking to expand the area no matter how large you make it. Makes multiplles of the same widget that is hard to delete. Turning off volume at locations only partially works, it leaves media country on.
Applets fail so often that it renders the app useless. Not sure if permissions are are being reset due to updates or what but...is too inconsistent to be useful.
As I get older, my memory gets worse. This is my go-to app to keep me on track. Learning curve is easy. Nothing compares to a Asana!
If you want your email spammed this would be a good start! Now I see when you opt out of their spam, you have to create an account and sign in.
Great app when it works. I have it set to turn wifi on and off when I leave home and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It does work well with my Google home so I like that.
Was working fine but now does not automate the phone or Philips hue lights Something broke after update to android n If I open the app then it would immediately do everything that was due till the time of opening the app. Hope you guys can fix it.
This app does so much. The general productivity it helps with is super useful, and it lets you build your own applets.
I have used this app for years. My only complaint is that I wish I could have multiple accounts added to one profile versus having to create more than one IFTTT account.
It tells me any time as event is run. I haven't tried any other features yet.
It was a great app at the beginning and now the location does not work at times and the time it takes to actually integrate my apps it's unbelievable. I wish the app was working like it was and it would be perfect. And yes, I installed and reinstalled the app a bunch of times and it actually gets worse every time. Update 05.26.17 So now... this app is actually worse, it does not respond with my hue bulbs and any of my wemo switches. I restarted my phone, network and apps and still don't work at all. What a pieces of trash app. I will give it -5 stars if I could. The other really bad part about this whole deal is, the customer service. I sent an email asking for help, and all I got was a generic answer telling me they are working on all of the issues! Really? What issues? You haven't even read my e-mail!!!!! Ok. I'M DONE 👎
Extremely useful, but could get overwhelming as it continues to gain partner companies. A rework may be needed down the road, but for now it works.
The app has a lot of support and has been updated a lot since I last used it. A think that I miss is the option to set all fields even for pre build tasks. Currently the only way to get all the options is to create a task myself.
Can't do as much as I would like to be able to, but still ok for some purpose s
Good design & integrations. Haven't had much use for it but still good to have on the phone I find.
Awesome app, love the idea of being able to maximise the services that are used most. Very helpful!
Love this app. Super powerful. Just wish you could add additional actions to one trigger
It's great when it works, and frustrating when it doesn't. Good work, but there's more to be done.
Essential tool for home "automation". IFTT's ability to speak to many different services is it's biggest feature.
Location based applets haven't triggered in weeks with no apparent reason
Location based services have gotten much less reliable in the last few updates
Wasn't a big fan. Kept reactivating WiFi even after i turned it off manually and hadn't reentered the home radius. Dealing with the app became a bigger hassle than not having it.
Could not get location services to work. Location selection tool froze whenever you typed in any address
It works awesome for muting my phone when I need my phone muted and forget to mute it
I just use it to make lists for myself. It's straight forward and easy for that
I really loved it. It helped me to manage many things to lead my team. thanks
Great App, needs the ability to have multiple conditions and actions to match tasker. Makes up for it a little with much better integration to 3rd party services like assistant.
Unless you are into social networking, Facebook, Twitter, instagram, etc... it's has little use for other tasks. Deleted it.
Fantastic app for a whole number of different uses it has gone particularly well when recommending to other people
I love the features , but its not really stable. It sometimes work sometimes doesn't.
