Way too simple, in that it doesn't support rudimentary conditions and commands one would expect in very simple programming models. Had hoped that it would would natively support a string of 'that' actions (without resorting to 3rd party apps like Stringify). Also had hoped that it would support multiple 'IF' conditions (with the use of 'AND' statements). Although not IFTTT's fault, it would have been great if Google Home and Alexa commands were services that could be initiated with 'THAT'
I tried assistant.ai and google assistant to use voice commands to start a harmony remote activity and nothing happens. I even tried installing google Allo to see if that changed anything. It has many "activities" but none seem to work together how I would use them
The app is good but the customer support is none existent. The app is fairly easy to use. It can be a bit annoying when you want to create an applet from a service you are already on and have to then find it again to add it as a trigger or action. I'm rating it only 3 stars because IFTTT doesn't bother to help it's user's in anyway, no replies to support tickets and hardly any documentation or online help.
I use IFTTT applets everyday as part of my workflow and they work flawlessly. The only thing missing is a way to domino other tasks; but I guess that would be called 'if this and this and that'
Sucks. Without being able to use conditionals, it is useless. For example, if you want to turn on a WeMo light when the ring doorbell senses motion, but only after sunset and before sunrise, you can't do it. Does it day or night. Horrible implementation.
Automates the few things I really don't have time to think about doing myself. I always look for new ways to automate processes, and this app is amazing.
