All in all okay, but I have challenges with the gateway. It often takes a long time to connect to it or the connection drops. There seems to be no stable background activity. Also I wish the whole system would support Google Home and the moods could be set automatically. Also, when not in my home and connected to my WiFi i cant access the system, but if I connect to any WiFi I can.. Good start but some way to go.
NB If your gateway keeps disconnecting, like mine did. Its a hardware problem. So get a new one. It's a great start of a promisingly bright future. Hope they are gonna build up on this success. App itself is over simplified. At this point its just a nice bonus to the light's remote control.
Ok basic app but there are some annoying flaws. Like how do you change the order of the groups? And how do you move a remote to another group? Also needs more integration options. Quite buggy.
A lot of disconnects to the gateway, as reported by many other users. I dont remember these problems to be present when I bought the stuff, I don't know whether the app got a bad update, or tje gateway, or it is simply a hardware issue. When the connection is restored it works.
I tried everything but I cannot connect the app to the gateway. After scanning the code (or manually entering it) it says it could not find the gateway. Everything is set up correctly. I even returned and got a new one and I have the same problem.
I bought the whole setup (30 bulbs+). Worked for a few hours but after that the app would refuse to connect to the hub unless I'd restart. My solution was to purchase a Philips hue hub and go through the trouble of pairing all the ikea bulbs to it. Now there's no problem.
