With the iLOQ S50 app your smartphone becomes a key. By downloading the S50 app you can use your NFC-enabled phone to open iLOQ S50 locks and readers to which your locking system administrator has given you access rights.

Opening locks is simple and convenient: Just place your phone’s NFC area close to the lock’s reader while the application is open. The reader harvests energy from the phone's NFC field and verifies your access rights for opening the lock.

To use the S50 app as a key your phone number needs to be registered to a locking system by the administrator, after this you’ll receive a key registration message via SMS or email. Your access rights can also be updated at any time by the administrator, contact them for more info.

The S50 app can also be used to update access rights to iLOQ K5 keys and K55S.2 Key Fobs.

Really awkward to get your phone into the location of the lock, so ended up scratching the phone. You can't lock the padlock without the phone which should be possible incase the battery went flat. Useless if it's raining because who wants to hold a £1000 phone in the rain. The whole concept is a great idea, but unfortunately in real life it's a awkward, sloppy security and unreliable. The padlock itself is very easy to cut using a hacksaw (only took 30 seconds). Stupid idea.

terrible app. it gives random errors and does not unlock or lock my door. I stuck outside of my apartment because of this lock. the apartment admins forcing us to use it. I am having safety issues because of this app. stay away all costs. I cannot lock my door either. it effected all my life terribly. I come to the situation of loosing my job because of this key.
