About this app

MAUSAM is a Mobile App of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India to provide seamless and user-friendly access to weather products available on https://mausam.imd.gov.in/. Users can access observed weather, forecasts, radar images and be proactively warned of impending weather events.

I have reported several technical issues like-- not working favourite location option, most of the times no weather information available only radar and warning steaker is there, but there has been absolutely no response or resolution from the support team. It's disappointing for a government-provided service to have such an unresponsive communication channel for citizens.

The app doesn't allow me to store my favourite locations. When I click on "Favourites", it just says "You have not stored any favourites". However, there is no way to mark a location as favourite in the app. The user interface needs to be improved as it gives weather information only upto district level.

Great features on paper, but terrible execution. The app never works— it's totally broken, nothing seems to work, no hourly forecasts, takes forever just to open, the developers need to focus on the basics: making a fast, reliable app that actually loads the weather forecasts for your location. It doesn't even let me submit the review from it's dedicated "Rate App" feature. 🤡
