The LapRF personal race timing system is a hardware device, supported by this app, which provides lap timing for racing drones.
All that is required on the drone is a 5.8GHz video transmitter using one of the standard analog, or digital frequencies.

Can't edit pilot names, can't use my keyboard, Documentation about what the settings do is incomplete. I'm sure the underlying tech is great, but for an app interface? Terrible. I built nicer apps in my intro to android class 7 years ago. Terrible UI, was clearly built for something like the android 4 sdk. Hasn't been updated in 3 years. Come on.

This app used to work fine, but now I am no longer able to edit the pilot names because the keyboard pops up and instantly closes. The same thing happens to other people in our group that flies. We all have various Google pixel phones. Devices I know that are affected for sure are Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, and Pixel 6 Pro. Keyboard pops up, and then instantly closes.

Kinda works... But really inconvenient! The way you have to jump between pages for setup and actual race... Setting the device up is a real PITA. After all you have almost no way to analyze the stat & results. Shame, Immersionrc, shame!
