Citizen Conan (formerly Phishing Eyes Police) is Korea's only "Voice Phishing Joint Public (Financial Institutions) and Public (Investigative Agencies) Response Network service" that prevents voice phishing.

Citizen Conan is a voice phishing detection tool developed at the request of frontline police officers. It detects malicious apps, remote control apps, pseudo-remote control apps, and smishing, all of which are used in voice phishing. It is designed to immediately notify partner financial institutions upon detection, blocking financial transactions before any funds are lost. Citizen Conan prides itself on being the safest voice phishing prevention app.

Citizen Conan detects apps used in voice phishing, including malicious apps, remote control apps, and smishing. Phishing Eyes includes most detection features related to the entire voice phishing fraud process, including "malicious apps," "remote control apps," "smishing," "calls with phishing criminals," "malicious IP/URL detection," and "KakaoTalk impersonation detection." The features offered vary depending on the version. Citizen Conan and Phishing Eyes work with financial institutions to prevent voice phishing by targeting the five major deceptive tactics of phishing criminals (malicious apps, remote control apps, text messages, KakaoTalk, and phone calls) and the five major financial extortion channels (apps, websites, ARS, ATMs, and counters).

Customers seeking comprehensive voice phishing prevention are recommended to install the Phishing Eyes app. Customers who have installed Phishing Eyes do not need to install the Citizen Conan app separately.

[Citizen Conan Key Features]

* Real-time detection of various voice phishing apps, including call interception apps, apps impersonating financial institutions, apps impersonating public institutions like the police and prosecutors, apps impersonating medical professionals, apps impersonating delivery services and shopping malls, and malicious body cam apps. * Detection and deletion of non-installed malicious files (.apk / .zip) in addition to installed malicious apps.
* Integration with affiliated financial institutions. Upon detection of voice phishing malicious apps, the system collaborates with the user's consented partners to block financial transactions such as transfers and loans.

[App Access Permissions Information]

* In accordance with the Information and Communications Network Act, which will be effective March 23, 2017, regarding smartphone app access permissions, Citizen Conan only accesses the information necessary for its services. These permissions are as follows:

1. Required Access Permissions
- Storage: Provides the ability to scan and delete non-installed malicious apps.
- Phone: Collects the mobile phone number of your device to the Citizen Conan server (citizenkonan.com). This information is used to prevent financial damage in cooperation with financial institutions.

* Individual consent for access permissions is not possible for operating systems older than Android 6.0.
Therefore, we recommend updating your device to Android 6.0 or higher using your device's software update function.
