kDrive is a secure Swiss cloud for collaborating online and accessing your documents, photos and files on all your devices. Your data is stored exclusively in Switzerland in the heart of Europe, in environmentally-friendly data centers.

The free package offers 15GB of storage from the etik.com page. Paid offers start from 2 TB of data in a sovereign cloud that respects privacy.

With the kDrive app, you can:

Infomaniak is an independent company owned exclusively by its employees. We don’t analyse or resell your data. You retain full control of your data and can work and collaborate without any limits in a secure ecosystem. The kDrive app is open source and you can consult its code on the Infomaniak github.

Ratings and reviews

There's a lot to like here with some limitations. This great to browse and download files from your kDrive. But it's limited with editing files and offline sync. I have a big folder full of plain text files I use as notes. While I can store them for offline use, I'd have to select that option for every single file. You can't select a folder for offline. Also, I saw no way to edit a simple text file so the changes sync to kDrive.

great drive for the price. impt: they renew subscription 2 weeks before the renewal date. good luck tryna dl your files of the drive cos wdym the download speed on desktop is 20-75kbps (tried on diff browsers & computers) and you can only dl one file at a time or the dl speed slows. on their app i can download files of a few GB in a few mins, but it fails to dl and files >5gb successfully lol. so i have to dl my files ONE AT A TIME instead of a zipped folder if i need them :o)

It's a good backup service, not gonna lie. The first biggest issues is that at first subscription it doesn't cost you a lot, but after the first year you pay 50% more, which is not really convenient for a college student (this issue is a normality for these type of services, which is not really fair, it would be better if you keep the prices the same). The second issue is that lately, the backup sync is not working good, you got to pause and unpause, otherwise you might lose documents.
