About this app

Twyp is an app (very lovingly) created by ING to make paying that much easier for everyone. We say everyone because you can use it if you are already 14 years old and also because, it doesn’t matter who you bank with (or even if you have no bank).

It is of course free of charge and there are no commissions. WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH TWYP? With the virtual prepaid card, you can PAY FOR ONLINE PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS easily, safely and protected against fraud. In addition, you can ADD IT TO GOOGLE PAY and pay with your smartphone. If you have turned 14, this card is also for you, even if you don't have a bank ;)

You can SEND AND REQUEST MONEY from your friends, family… instantly! So, it is perfect, as well as many other things, to send money from parents to children from mobile to mobile. When you pay with Twyp you can benefit from DISCOUNTS AND EXCLUSIVE PROMOTIONS in which you can save money.

Also, Twyp is the only app you can WITHDRAW MONEY WITH WHEN YOU SHOP IN STORES. In fact, there are thousands of Twyp stores all over Spain in which you can save time and commissions. Find your nearest store in the “Cash” section. WHY YOU WILL LIKE IT Because it is FREE. No fees, commissions or anything odd like that. Because YOU DON’T NEED A BANK. If you already have one, fine, if not that is fine also. Because YOU ARE FREE. Top up Twyp with any bank card, but if you want to take it out you can easily do it by a transfer to a bank account. And if you want to unsubscribe, it's as easy as a click.

About the Twyp card: To use the Twyp pre-pay card, the user (or their legal guardian in the case of minors between 14 – 17 years old), has to accept the terms and conditions of the app and have his identity correctly validated in the app. You may not exceed the limits established by Twyp in your purchases. On limitations of use: If you are already a customer of ING, there is no annual limit on your transactions in Twyp stores and you may pay with your Twyp card, send and receive money up to an annual limit of 5000 €. If you are not an ING customer, the limit of your Twyp transactions is 999 € per calendar year.

On withdrawing money: When you shop in any of the thousands of Twyp stores, you can also withdraw money in them with no commission (from 20 € up to a maximum of 150 €). Remember: there is no minimum amount for your purchases, and you can identify the Twyp stores in the app or by the badges you will see in each establishment. You can always consult the terms and conditions of the app, the Twyp card or the legal guidelines of the promotions in twyp.com

Terrible app. I've tried paying for things and withdrawing money several times now and it hasn't worked once. The FAQ page doesn't help with anything when there's a problem, it just tells you how great their service is. You have to pay to call if there's a problem, which is ironic when you can't top up your phone because twyp doesn't work. On a personal level I find the app chummy and irritating, I'm not sure if I want you to "twyp me" but I would like to make a financial transaction, please.

Hola Henry, prueba a reinstalar la app borrando previamente la memoria caché en Ajustes /Aplicaciones/ Twyp/ Memoria-almacenamiento para que la app actualice correctamente. Si no se soluciona, llámanos al 91 211 92 04, que no te costará nada si tienes contratada tarifa plana nacional, y te ayudamos. Un saludo

"Something went wrong" when I try to sign in with my ING account. I already tried following the recommended steps (clear cache, uninstall, reinstall) a couple of times before leaving my review. It didn't fix the issue. There is clearly something wrong with the ING integration. If the developers cannot debug the issue by reviewing their logs, then they need better logs 😉

Hola Tom, prueba a reinstalar la app borrando previamente la memoria caché en Ajustes/Aplicaciones/Twyp/Memoria-almacenamiento y, si no funciona, llámanos al 91 211 92 04 o contesta al mail que recibirás con nuestra respuesta indicándonos tu DNI y el tlf. asociado a Twyp y lo reportamos para que se revise. Edit: after review account got enabled within hours, increasing to 3 stars. If this manual review only were part of the reg-flow. Unusable for me. Attempted to register multiple times with different options ID card, passport, more less lighting... Just to keep getting automated messages after a 30min+ wait saying it was unsuccessful. On the nth attempt the flow finally guided me to a number to call. By then my frustrated response was to uninstall the app and use BIZUM on a different account.
