INIA Termomín provides forecasts of daily minimum air temperatures above the ground and at 2 meters high (meteorological shelter) using outputs from the “Weather Research and Forecasting” (WRF) model obtained through CPTEC/INPE1 for a grid over Uruguay at a spatial resolution. 7 x 7 km per cell. These forecasts have a time horizon of 5 days and are updated twice a day, at 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. local time.
Having this forecast at the level of the different areas of the country will allow producers and technicians to take the necessary management measures to minimize the effects that these temperatures may cause in the different production systems and thus reduce possible losses.
Minimum temperature forecast for 5 days on the surface and at 2 meters high.
