InnoCaption is a caption app for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. If understanding phone calls or voice calling is difficult due to tinnitus or hearing loss, our speech to text app is for you. This service is FCC Certified and offered at no charge to eligible users in the United States. Auto captions are also available in Spanish through Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) technology.

Real-time transcription makes taking calls simple - speak using your own voice and see live captions of what the other party on the call is saying. We also provide contact syncing, so you can quickly access all of your contacts, enjoy seamless voice calling, and transcribe audio right within the InnoCaption app.

This is teletype technology (TTY) updated for the modern world. InnoCaption provides both live call captions by stenographers or best-in-class automated speech recognition (ASR) software. Closed captioning modes can be switched at any time – even during your call! FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ANYONE BUT REGISTERED USERS WITH HEARING LOSS FROM USING INTERNET PROTOCOL (IP) CAPTIONED TELEPHONES WITH THE CAPTIONS TURNED ON. IP Captioned Telephone Service may use a live operator. The operator generates captions of what the other party to the call says. These captions are then sent to your phone. There is a cost for each minute of captions generated, paid from a federally administered fund.

I love having the ability to get captioning on my cell phone calls! I, my sister, and my mom all need to use captioning because of hearing loss (bad genetics!). I didn't want to get a landline captioning phone, but was researching them when I stumbled on information about this app. One can choose to have a captioning agent for more accurate captioning, or automatic captioning, if one is making a call they want to be 100% secure. I highly recommend this app!

Transcription of my calls is wonderful and very much appreciated. Lacking high-frequency hearing, understanding new voices can be a challenge for me; taking calls in noisy areas can be a nightmare. The InnoCaption app solves those issues. It is user-friendly and works extremely well. There are different ways to use InnoCaption; many ways to customize the app. InnoCaption has great customer service when questions/concerns arise. Thank you, InnoCaption! :)

I really really want to like this app but there are some things critically missing: the notification for call is terrible. It's a small popups and easily overlooked. I have better notification from Whatsapp and text messages than I do from InnoCaption. When I do catch the call, the app does not respond fast enough to answer the call that the caller hangs up. Or the app lag so much that the caller is talking but I cannot see the captioning as it's stuck in dial pad. Hope to see more improvement!
