Great app. Ok cust service. The app is fairly easy to use. And the idea is great. In fact, i love it. Sometimes the customer service while in progress is good, other times not. But customer service after the fact is terrible. I sent an email after receiving a spoiled item and never heard back. Each order gets rated with a 5 star system, but it's treated like a pass/fail system. You tip before your shopper even starts. Sometimes they shop for you in advance from when you scheduled, expexting you to be available for questions.
Have a lot of things to fix. Overall it is good. The service saves me a lot of time not having have to drive to store. The app is easy to use. The con is some of the products don't have images which leads to wrong items delivered. There is feature that helps to minimize wrong products which is leaving instructions for specific products but the instructions get periodically erased .
I haven't been to a grocery store in a couple months. I actually spend less on groceries even with paying the tip and having a yearly membership because I'm not tempted to pick up extra junk food. I go through my 'buy it again' section and grab all my essentials.
I will never use the service ever again. This will be the first and last time I ever order from this service. They messed up the order and didn't even notify me that they were getting me something else. Then the next morning I woke up to a message that notified me that someone was shopping for me and said that my delivery time was about 10:15 a.m. Long story short I waited 30 minutes to get a voice message saying that no one was home and they would have to deliver another time. I was home the whole time.
Convenient as hell. But you'll pay at least $1 more per item than if you shopped the same things at the same store yourself ( the app will tell about what % higher if any, instacart prices will be, but that calculation is anything but perfect). The app has coupons, but not the same as the ones which come in the Sunday paper etc. They need to find a way to get local coupons into the hands of the instacart shoppers to lower all around costs. That said, still pretty handy especially in a bind, but I won't use it weekly.
Nest thing since sliced bread I hate grocery shopping and always end up buying stuff I don't need. I would rather tip the person 20% and it's also giving someone a job. Every delivery has been done by great people. Happy with this app
