Review from Stephen Roberts
Pretty good Flipping up and down instead of left right feels wrong for pagination but pretty good stuff apart from that.
Pretty good app for offline reading. Even has folders for you to organize your articles. The downside is it does not allow you to manually sort your article order. It would be nice if there's the option to stop an article from syncing with the original page as sometimes the original is removed and the saved article also disappears. And it would be nice if it lets me save as many articles offline as I want instead of limiting it to 100 articles.
Articles already loaded always have to reloaded! Frustrating. Text sometimes isn't complete. Sometimes when you open the app after a few hours. You have to re-download again. Then the file you just re-downloaded would also have articles that is cut in half :/
The concept is great. Certain areas I need to go where I'd like to read at times have terrible signal. Instapaper solves that by downloading them to my phone. It works really well... ...mostly. I don't know about the latest update, but until today, it crashes whenever Android unloads it from memory. It's irritating. But its support for IFTTT makes it killer. I pointed it at my favorite tech news site's RSS feed and it takes care of the rest.
While it is works when it works, it does have a tendency to regularly crash which is annoying. Recently, they made a change that u can't copy text which is horrible and am writing this here in the hopes that they will return that capability. Please.
So disappointed😢 your search button doesn't display the saved articles instead it displays the random results even not searched one. Otherwise I would give you 5 stars
Please add some more backgrounds in order to reduce the eye strain and also there should be an option to see the article as moving words by word in the middle screen like in the news channels instead of appearing those contents. After all this app is great and hoping to get those features.
* When reading, fullscreen is activated on scrolling instead of pagination.
