The Omnipod® 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System is the only FDA cleared, tubeless automated insulin delivery system that integrates with Dexcom G6, G7 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus CGM sensors and automatically adjusts insulin delivery to manage blood glucose with no multiple daily injections and zero fingersticks*.

Simple and automated insulin delivery with the Omnipod 5 System is made possible with the tubeless Omnipod 5 Pod, the integrated Dexcom G6, G7 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus CGM sensors and the Omnipod 5 App installed on an Insulet-provided controller or on your personal compatible smart phone**.

The Omnipod 5 App allows you to select a basal profile, target glucose and bolus settings, activate and deactivate the Pod, connect with the Dexcom G6, G7 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus CGM sensors, and select an insulin delivery mode.

The Omnipod 5 App is part of the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System. The Omnipod 5 System is for prescription use only. The Omnipod 5 System is indicated for use by individuals with Type 1 diabetes mellitus in persons 2 years of age and older. The Omnipod 5 System is intended for single patient, home use and requires a prescription. The Omnipod 5 System is compatible with the following U-100 insulins: NovoLog®, Humalog®, and Admelog®.

Ratings and reviews

Will not stay connected. This is a constant problem with this software. It is supposed to become smarter each time you change the pod, yet it will not stay connected for more than 24 hours. I have waisted 7 pods just trying to keep it working. If Insulet can't fix the problem, I am going to look for another system. As it is now, this is a piece of junk! 11/05/25 Again I will say that it will not work. Recently I had to update my phone and updated to Dexcom g7. For the past month will not work.

This app was working okay, until it wasn't. All of a sudden in the last 2 weeks I've had to start restarting my phone every couple of hours just to get the pod to communicate with my cgm today. Nothing will connect. Nothing has changed. I'm using the same cgm that I had on when I first put my pod on 2 days ago. Today, I was on the phone with omnipod for over an hour. They were great, but their solution? they're sending me a new pdm!! I liked the convenience of having the app on my phone.

its an ok interface. but would be better if they would add the ability to see you're sugar levels on the drop down. i drive for work and can only briefly touch my phone. to be able to drag down and see my levels and back up would be q big help. unless its in its settings and I don't know how to turn it on. another thing I needed to send a screenshot to my Dr this morning and the app doesnt allow it. other than that its ok. it just needs more fine tuning.

Updates:
• Introduce a new 100 mg/dL target glucose expanding the current range to 100–150 mg/dL in 10 mg/dL increments
• Automated Delivery Restriction (ADR) is being replaced with Check Blood Glucose alarm. Now users stay in Automated Mode when the alert is acknowledged.
• Enable compatibility with the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor
• Bug fixes
