About this app

Bring your Sonos system under local control with SoniQueue, a modern Sonos remote for fast discovery, private playback, and responsive controls. Start with SoniQueue Lite for free to check it works with your speakers, library, and home network before paying. Upgrade once to Pro if you want the full library and unlimited station tools. No subscription.

SoniQueue keeps the core Sonos experience fully usable in Lite mode: fast speaker discovery, responsive playback controls, queue management, grouping, settings, and diagnostics are all included from the start. You can test discovery speed, speaker control, grouping, and day-to-day reliability on your own system before committing to the one-time Pro unlock.

We love Sonos speakers, and the official Sonos app is still our go-to for music services and setup. SoniQueue exists for the little extras we kept wishing for in day-to-day listening:

- Skip forward and back for long-form media. When you drift off in a podcast or audiobook and need to rewind a bit, or you want to jump past (or replay) that one song they play all the time on a catch-up radio show.
- A more accurate position scrubber. Fine-grained seeking with a live timestamp as you drag, so landing on an exact moment in a two-hour mix or audiobook is quick and painless.
- Fast local library tools. Quick, reliable search and playlist management for your own collections, with Lite focused on the first five artists alphabetically and Pro unlocking the full library.
- Connection stats for real homes. If your Wi-Fi is a bit character-building (big walls, tricky layouts), SoniQueue surfaces connection status and signal details so you can shuffle speakers or mesh nodes around and keep listening reliably.
- Quirky custom internet stations. Add and listen to your favourites natively — from BAGeL Radio to RMF Grunge, and anything else you discover. Lite includes up to two Sonos favorites and one custom SoniQueue station; Pro removes those limits.

Local network libraries stay front and center. SoniQueue keeps artists, albums, folders, and search indexes cached for instant browsing, and surfaces your library playlists right next to Sonos playlists and SoniQueue's own on-device playlists. In Lite, browsing and search stay focused on the first five artists alphabetically so you can confirm your library appears correctly and the app fits your setup. Upgrade to Pro to open up the full collection.

Playlist tools support artwork imports from files or links so every list has the cover you want. Save any queue into a Sonos playlist, convert it into a local SoniQueue list, or drop it into a library playlist, then fine-tune track order with drag-and-drop editing.

Stations are equally flexible: combine Sonos favorites with your own Internet radio streams by pasting custom URLs, assign cover art, and jump in with one tap. No extra accounts or online directories are required. Lite gives you a small starter set; Pro turns the feature set loose.

Speakers and playback stay rich and tactile with animated progress rings, quick mute and volume access, group badges, and remembered artwork so every tile feels alive. The Now Playing screen offers a draggable timeline, hardware volume sync, queue and group editor shortcuts, and controls that react instantly.

Queue management lets you browse, reorder, swipe away, or save the current session, while a dedicated group volume sheet provides per-speaker sliders and mute toggles. The group editor lets you stage membership changes before they hit your speakers.

The settings hub includes discovery speed options, a default-on Reduce Motion toggle, seven day library cache tuning, and diagnostics exports for speaker rosters, group layouts, queue snapshots, and library summaries to simplify troubleshooting.

Download SoniQueue Lite to see how well it fits your own Sonos setup before you spend anything, then upgrade once to Pro whenever you want the full library and unlimited favorites and stations.
