Great functionality but... It doesn't seem to like cm12.1 on one plus one especially for turning off mobile data. Trying to create an action in Tasker to turn mobile data off at night and switch it on again in the morning and it's just not working. Could be a 5.1 issue, any chance you could look at and fix?
Adds important (for me) features to Tasker, but Google ... I have found this to be an essential tool when writing Tasker code. In fact, most of my important tasks call Secure Settings at some point. Unfortunately, Google keeps throwing a spanner into the works whenever they produce a new version of Android. The latest spanner means that toggling Mobile Data requires root access on my Nexus 5 (Lollipop 5.0.1) using SS 1.3.6, but the Nexus is not rooted! Later: Decided that I can't manage with a limited SS, so I have rooted the Nexus 5 (and Nexus 9) Now on lollipop 5.1. The only problem seems to be toggling Mobile Data, which the dev will be fixing with the next release. Another Google spanner!
Hardcoded settings are out if date This app uses a hardcoded path for SU, which is no longer standard. As such its most useful featured don't work on many Marshmallow systems, and it offers no way to fix the problem. This has been a known issue for some time and no fix has appeared.
Enable/Disable mobile settings does not work Getting an error in Tasker with configuration of mobile data. Emailed the developer last year with no response; emailed him a few days ago with no response. Payed for the plugin as well. Using Toggle Data 5.0 from the play store to fix my task and it works fine. 0 support from the developer. Buyer beware!! Using Android 6.0.1 on a rooted device.
Wifi Hotspot enable/disable not working on Note 4 with Lollipop 5.0.1 Everything worked perfectly for me with KitKat. Since upgrading to Lollipop everything fell apart with tasker security settings. The most annoying one is the wifi hotspot enable/disable stopped working. Now I have to tap 4 times in order to enable. Is this a security settings issue or lollipop issue?
That's my #1 biggest reason for having this app. I shouldn't have to reboot to make it half-work, and I shouldn't have to mess around downgrading android on a brand new phone. :( ETA: Using Pattern lock worked. UNTIL upgrade to Android 6. Now none of the lock screen options work.
