Very disappointed... The only thing this app is good for is actually seeing that you did in fact record something on the camera. As it's ability to actually playback is virtually non existent....I was able to see three frames of a 4 minute video during playback. The remote start/stop works, but not worth the drain on the battery to consider using it. What a shame such a great camera has such a useless app.
Awful The Ion camera is fantastic, but this software is just a pain to use. There are screens you get out of without closing the app and each time you reopen it, you have to reconnect it to both the internet and the device. Settings don't save, videos can't be played and the app UI is just awful.
After going through 2 different agents on the phone, I finally decided to turn off my mobile data. BANG,! !!! Works perfectly!!! Forget doing all of the configuring on the phone app. Just go to your settings and turn off mobile data. Then go to Wi-Fi on the phone, and scan for WIFIPODZ. poor in the password, it will then say connected...open so, go to remote and enjoy,! I told them this needs to be in the directions, and she smugly said to me, is there anything else"? Horrible tech support, UPDATE 6/8/2015 Now it no longer connects to the phone app. I have spent a few hours downloading and changing the settings. I don't understand why they cant make a more reliable app. the camera works great, but the live streaming was the reason for my purchase. probably going to buy a different product and just get rid of this. it had such promise.
Why isn't it doing what it's supposed to.. Connecting the ION AND WiFi is extremely tedious and only displays the video/ Picture preview with minimal luck. Nor can I download or view files of any quality in my Air Pro Lite. Fix this for all android devices, I know I'm not alone here... this must be fixed!
Sucks, I have an LG optimus 7 and it can't connect to the app. It only connected once and it never did again -_- what a shame..
Absolute Garbage! App & ion air pro 3 both started off fine... for about a week. Now both are nothing but problems! AirPro3 has to be shut down by the hard reset button. App will not connect properly. App will not remote record on my Samsung S5. There is no sound playback on my old videos. Will not record new ones. Will not take pictures. Tried re installing app. Hard reset on AP3... Nothing!!! Not happy at all!
