It's good. It's almost as good as the ds version, but without the multiplayer and the extra mode is a separate purchase. Content wise, it's the same as the dsiware mini version and that'll run you $5 off the dsi/3ds eshop. If you have a wii or wiiU, I'll highly recommend tracking down the wii disc version because of its superior controlls, co-op In single player mode, multiplayer modes and it looks better too. The wii version has somewhat different graphical filters for more of a animated/story book look.
It's a solid game. First of all, the in-app purchases are to buy costumes (cosmetics) and to unlock the Extra mode (which can be gained for free by beating the Main Story). That's all there is; no pay-to-win stuff. The game itself is pretty fun, with a lot of leeway on maneuvering Ivy using the vines. Sometimes, things get a bit hectic, but overall there isn't any cheap parts in this game. I recommend this game for those who want a more traditional skill based game that's good for a break or the transit.
