Looking for a travel/weather camera app that actually has cameras in your area? Look no further! Irides provides access to tens of thousands of cameras from dozens of different sources, conveniently combined into one database and plotted on our map. See what travel conditions are like in real time before you go, or just check in with your favorite beach spot! We’ve got you covered!
Irides is an ongoing project - we are constantly adding new cameras to our map, as well as removing dead or broken links. We also have lots of new and exciting features in the works - from using visual recognition software to automatically identify travel and weather hazards to route planning. Get in on the ground floor today and be part of this exciting new service!
Please note that Irides DOES NOT host, control, or maintain any cameras - we simply make them easy to find and use. If your favorite camera goes down permanently, we cannot fix it! Also note that extreme weather events may result in temporary large scale camera blackouts, and D.O.T. cameras may temporarily go down for maintenance - we will restore these cameras to our database as soon as they are returned to service. There may also be gaps in camera coverage in a few states due to local restrictions or technical issues- we are working hard to overcome these problems and expect to have cameras in these areas in the near future!
Please also be aware that many of our cameras are HD live streams; these may take a while to load depending on the speed of your internet connection. Irides provides a combination of rapidly updating single image cameras as well as HD live streams, so a stationary image does not necessarily mean the camera is broken.
