This isn't just an App, it's an expensive subscription. For some reason it can't do the basic thing that every other (Free!!!) App I have can do...that is handle momentary loss of connections. It can't switch from WIFI to Data or vice versa. You can't even continue to read the current page or do the crossword. You have to force stop this App before you can continue. I contacted them by phone and they denied all knowledge of this problem. Embarassing for such a well established brand.

The app keeps crashing, you can't swipe between catagories, and there is no longer a way to react to frankly some poor, one sided articles. Almost 4 months after my initial post and many emails to app support their response is, 'try reinstalling it...." No change and not very confidence inspiriting. The app is poorly coded, has some serious functional deficiencies and needs to be overhauled if The Irish Times is serious about digital journalism.

Great articles, just having a few issues. When I get push notifications, it sometimes relates to articles from the previous day, so it's hardly breaking news. Secondly, I had to stop the email briefings, reason being everytime I click on an article and it opens in chrome, I get asked to sign in with my password before I can read the full article. Lastly, why do we get bombarded with ads when paying for a subscription?
