Ratings and reviews

Great game, but definitely my least favorite in the series. The charm the series had seems to have been lost by trying too hard. More towers is a fun idea, but its rather annoying half of them are behind microtransactions. I would recommend it because playing as the bad guys is quite cool, but I would avoid having high expectations and be willing to spend $20-30 if you want a full experience.

Unfortunately a stumble in Ironhide's immaculate collection of TD games. Removing information on the towers, enemies, and heroes is unfortunate, as I would like to experiment with the expanded selection of towers, but can't effectively because of this. There are also problems with the balancing, the 2nd world is harder than the 3rd due to shorter maps and less money, and some towers are worse than others or nigh unusable (looking at you rotten forest). Still good, but not amazing like the rest.

For context, this is my favorite line of tower defense games. I've been playing them since I was a little kid. This is probably the worst game in the line. The maps aren't designed in a way that's conducive to organized strategy, making gameplay rather hectic. It's almost impossible to win any of the levels cleanly. I like the addition of more towers, but I do not like the implementation. By the time you barely learn how/when to use one tower, another tower is introduced.
