About the App

This is the App for those of us who wish to stay connected with their bank transactions in ways that are personal, meaningful, with sufficient details and find what they need with a few clicks just like Googling.

With banking transactions being such an important aspect of our daily life, iSpent19 is designed to keep this aspect simple by being a personal finance diary of your transactions. This is so that you can leave behind the guilt of forgetting to check your bank statements, the frustration of scattered information about a transaction that is “time-wastefully” hard to find, the fuss of having to cancel an insurance automatic renewal because you are charged a loyalty penalty and instead get on with your life!

Who we are and why we are here

As an Open Banking service provider registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we have taken a user-centricity approach to adding value to our users’ lives.

User centricity is manifested in the design of the App that focuses on transaction personalisation.

We hope, through personalisation, you get:

● better VISIBILITY of all your daily transactions across all your bank accounts
● a great deal of CONVENIENCE you need to interact with your banking transactions where and when it happens
● to take more CONTROL over your financial matters


● Personalise your transactions via personal tags to make them more memorable, if needed for future reference
● Earmark your transactions regularly via default tags, so you have the peace of mind that your accounts are not defrauded. This is also useful to avoid those moments of “what was that for again?”
● Do check out our Shopping Journey tag collection and the Monitored Space feature where you can keep an eye on any list of tagged transactions. This has been very useful to ourselves during the second UK COVID lockdown. Some of us would have been lost in the chaos of shopping returns, refunds or exchanges
● Want to document the key conclusions from conversations with your banks or any particular vendor about a particular transaction? Why don’t you just add a note next to that transaction?
● Like us, if you are price sensitive to annual renewals such as your insurance policies, why don’t you set a reminder next to this year’s payment before the next renewal so that you can compare the market and have all the information to hand?
● Your regular payments in one place, easier to monitor and decide if alternatives are needed
● Best of all, all your personalised information is easily located via our powerful search or filter features
● Your data is protected with bank level security

Three simple steps to get started

● Register your details after having downloaded and installed the App
● Add your first bank account or credit card to try it out. We recommend adding at least two so you really see the benefit of account consolidation
● Just play around with the features on any transaction you would like to earmark for future reference

We have spent a lot of time making and testing this App before we get to present it to you for free. Please bear in mind that this is officially still a beta version.
