Thanks Goes out to NETGEAR for making me an Anus Gee...you'd think a company that makes home WiFi equipment would try out some quality-control in its firmware releases, so who'd expect that NetGear's last firmware release (v22.214.171.124) for my WNDR3700v2 was the ACTUAL, real issue behind every major problem in my home network. My first clue came when the router kept 'notifying' me there was a 'new firmware', would automatically download it, then, time and again, fail to execute the update because it was the 'incorrect version'. Hrm.... After over 3 months of searching, I just could not keep on believing that i-Spy, AND Yawcam, AND even one other major software I tried today, were all non-functional, and went back to searching on how to fix my router's firmware. A little 'tftp2.exe' download straight from Netgear (after hours more troubeshooting on forums), some good advice, and one BIG, final, successful FLASH to the newest firmware later...and EVERYTHING works. Yawcam came through, now iSpy, and pretty much, I'm blaming Netgear, because you just don't expect that an 'automatic' firmware flash direct from the router manufacturer could cause your entire network to be suffering for months (even slowed my gaming to a crawl, BTW).
Cool but Seems to require a wifi connection to work properly on a strong data connection. it won't load ispy clips. Plus clicking on 'settings' does nothing . needs ability to connect to a free DNS. So much potential but this app is weak . Even dumber is actually going to the website to access your account and your clips still don't show. But go home to your wifi network and all works fine
Lazy and expensive poor quality app And it's not really an app - it's a browser built to show the mobile version of their website. The laziest app there is. It's slow and the number of steps to see video is overly complex. You must subscribe to their service to see video with the "app". The video quality is very poor compared to other services. It's an expensive service for such a terrible mobile app.
It's just a website This is not an app as such, it's just a frame displaying their mobile website. It's okay, but would like to see a proper android app with motion tracking, local notifications and that sort of thing. But as is its a nice shortcuts to the website, even if it does impose some adverts that sometimes obstruct the controls.
