About this app

IWV Chat is an AI assistant that runs entirely on your phone or tablet. The AI model lives on your device, thinks on your device, and answers on your device. Your conversations never leave it.

TRULY PRIVATE

No account, no sign-in, no cloud.
Zero data collection: no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking of any kind.
Works fully offline. After you download an AI model, you can put the phone in airplane mode and keep chatting.
The only network use is the download you start yourself, fetched over HTTPS from verified, pinned sources.

TALK TO IT, NATURALLY

Dictate instead of typing: tap the microphone, speak, and your words go straight to the assistant in one press. Prefer to review first? One setting switches it to insert-only.
Hands-free Conversation Mode: it listens, answers out loud, and listens again — a spoken back-and-forth with nothing to press.
Spoken replies with adjustable voice, speed, and pitch.
Speech recognition also runs on-device (whisper.cpp). Your voice is never uploaded.

ASK ABOUT PICTURES
Take a photo or pick one from your gallery and ask about it — "What is this?", "Read this label", "Describe what you see." Both included models understand images.

TWO FREE MODELS, YOUR CHOICE

Fast (LFM2.5 VL): compact and quick, a 0.75 GB download, runs comfortably on most phones.
Smart (Ministral 3): a larger model for more capable answers, about a 2.2 GB download.
Image understanding uses a small add-on vision pack per model, offered automatically the first time you ask about a picture.
Download either or both. Everything is free — no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases.

BUILT TO BE TRUSTWORTHY

Conversations are saved only on your device, and you can delete them at any time.
On-device AI in this size class is genuinely useful but not infallible: answers can be inaccurate, and you should verify anything important. The app tells you this up front and asks for your acknowledgment before first use.
See something inappropriate from the AI? Report it in two taps — from the response itself or from Help > Report AI Content. You see exactly what the report contains before anything is sent, and it goes through your own email app, never silently.

GOOD TO KNOW

Requires Android 7.0 or newer; 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended for the Smart model.
The AI model is downloaded on first run (you pick the size). Wi-Fi recommended for that first download.
Answers stream in as they are generated, with live progress on longer replies and Cancel always available.

What’s new

Voice input now sends in one press: finish dictating and "Stop & Send" goes straight to the assistant. Prefer to review first? Switch it in Settings > Voice.

Fixed: the microphone button could disappear after hands-free Conversation Mode.

New: report AI content any time from Help > Report AI Content; the Back button now closes the report window correctly.

Long replies show progress and a time estimate. Stability fixes for model switching and voice-input cancel.
