NotesXML Local is a complete note-taking app that keeps everything on your device. No account, no cloud, no AI, no subscription and no advertising - one purchase, and your notes stay yours.

It is built from the same code as NotesXML, without the AI and connected features. If you want a powerful notebook that never talks to a server, this is the edition for you.

NotesXML Local deliberately leaves out the connected and AI features of NotesXML: on-device AI assistant and chat, speech-to-text dictation and transcription, and cloud sync. If you want those, look for NotesXML.

NotesXML Local is a one-time purchase. It is not intended for users under 18.

What’s new

PDFs open and page faster, scans especially, and now show form fields, stamps, comments and signatures added in other apps.

New: contact groups, and Copy Link to any page or note. Pick several files at once when attaching or importing.

Drawing: the selection buttons no longer cover your drawing.

Open and Save start in your Notebooks folder, and deleting notebooks no longer freezes the app.
