About this app

Contraction Timer helps you time how long and how frequent your contractions are when going into labor. It shows the time of each contraction, their durations and the interval between them.

Please note that if your phone doesn't have Android 4 or newer, it will still use the old version of the app.

Please purchase Contraction Timer Donate if you like this app. It also enables the ability to share your times in an emailed spreadsheet, and also enabled the Android Beam feature (Android 4+ phones with NFC only), so that you can instantly beam your times to another device—particularly useful when your partner comes home from work and takes over the timing operations!

This app was accessible, convenient, and easy to use in a moment when nothing was easy. It not only timed the duration of the contractions I was having and the length of the intervals between, but also presented the information in a simple visual bar graph at the top to easily and at a glance help me understand when it was time to go to the hospital. 5 stars I cannot thank the makers of this app enough!

The app is excellent. I really appreciate and recommend it. I'd just like to leave a constructive criticism, ok? It would be great if this app had an "always on top bubble" (Just like the one Facebook Messenger and Datally have). So, when you are using the phone and your wife starts feeling a contraction, it's faster to switch to the app (or to start/stop timing) because I think the Android app switching feature is too slow. Other than that, the app is great! Congratulations!

Simple and effective. No visual clutter, just enough info so that a frantic full-term mom or birth partner can effectively chart the development of contractions. Thank you! We used this for both my daughter's and son's births! The hospital was able to use this information to get up to date quickly on my contraction frequency, and I didn't have to think about it. Also, this was the app our nurse used to time our contractions in the hospital!
