Really nice app. Good for putting it all together. Maybe not good for absolute beginners but great for the next step. Once you can read kana and basic kanji get this app. Great explanations of mostly everything. Storys are OK but story voices are really good.
If you've stared learning Japanese, but don't really know how to take the next step of actually using the knowledge you've gained, JA Audiobook is great. It will help you learn to read(and listen to) your first Japanese texts and conversations without just throwing you into the deep end. It will support you with explanations of what's going on in each sentence of the text until you feel confident enough to tackle Japanese texts with the help of a dictionary and the Internet. The developer really cares about the quality and usability of his apps and periodically adds content for free. Well worth supporting and getting a great tool to bridge the gap at the same time.
I'm very impressed after just 5 minutes. Question for developer, in the study reference, why is the vocab list 英和 English to Japanese only? Perhaps there should be a 和英 toggle switch...? This would make it much easier to look up unknown words. Also, are favorite sentences an uncompleted feature? I can't find anywhere to look them up once I've starred them. Perhaps it should be called mark text or underline text.
I love this app. In conjunction with JA sensei. This really help me boost my japanese reading ang listening skills. 1 request though is to be able to listen to the audio book even when the screen is turned off since as of now it will stop playing when the screen is turned off. (Getting the premium account ia totally worth it specially the samurai account for 50€)
Wonderful reading complementary to JA sensei I have bought this app to support the developer as he has done a good job in making and updating JA Sensei. This app is recommended once you have a basic grasp of hiragana, katakana and have studied the N5 and N4 vocabulary. There are also more advanced lessons that I haven't touched yet. The dialogues have furigana and the words are read out to you. It is like having a sensei read out a book to you, but much more convenient and cost efficient. At the end of the dialogue, there will be a quiz to test out your comprehension.
I love this app. Its incredibly useful and fun to use. The stories are cute and make me laugh at times. My only suggestion though is adding more stories. Otherwise great app!
