PhoneFlare texts your friends and family your location when in danger and automatically calls your school's safety dispatch if you're on a supported campus.

Triggering an alarm is as easy as ripping an accessory from the headphone or charging port, pressing a button, or setting a check-in time you fail to meet. Advanced features prevent coercion and allow audio recording during emergencies. The app even scans and logs the bluetooth UDIDs of nearby devices during an emergency event.

100% Free, PhoneFlare is entirely volunteer run and open-source. A labor of more than two years, all costs and overhead is paid through donations, grants and out of pocket by our volunteers. We are certified 501(c)3 non-profit. Free accessories have been manufactured to hand out on campuses and women's shelters to promote safe use and awareness.

While designed to curtail instances of sexual assault on campuses, PhoneFlare can have practical applications for everyone, including children and the elderly - we are rolling support for some retirement communities in the coming months.
