"Accessible Heritage Cities" is an accessible, free application created by the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain with the collaboration of the State Representative Platform for People with physical disabilities, PREDIF.
The purpose of this application is to provide visitors with disabilities and other diverse needs, information on the accessibility of tourism in the World Heritage Cities. Its contents facilitate the planning of the visit and the experience in the city, because they allow users to select tourism resources of interest and establishments whose accessibility features best suit your particular needs.
The application collects routes best interest of each city ready to be traveled by people with reduced mobility and tourism establishments of different types: monuments, museums, tourist offices, accommodations, restaurants, other.
All this information has been verified on site by technicians PREDIF according to a protocol for verifying the specific accessibility for tourism establishments. Information Ubeda and Baeza have been collected in 2015 and the rest of cities updated in 2014.
Some information is available in Easy Reading, writing a method that makes texts accessible to people with difficulties in reading, for example, some people with intellectual disabilities.
