VoxDMR turns your Android phone into a DMR client for licensed amateur radio operators.

Connect directly to DMR servers, and talk on talkgroups straight from your device, no extra hardware required.

**Accessibility service disclosure.** VoxDMR includes an optional Accessibility service used solely to detect the hardware push-to-talk (PTT) and channel buttons you bind in Settings, so they keep working while the screen is locked or the app is in the background — a convenience for two-way-radio hardware. It is off by default; you enable it yourself in Android's Accessibility settings and can disable it there at any time. The service does not read screen content, does not log keystrokes, and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive data — everything stays on your device. It is not an accessibility aid for people with disabilities.

just installed & used this app for the first time tonight, love it! on the plus side, it's super easy to get set up, took only a few minutes to set up (setting up my profile & entering my callsign along with the needed server info). audio is great and contacts told me during my testing that I also sounded great. on the minus side, I do wish this had what's called "talk permit tone", used to let the user know they're accessing the system. still, great app!

UPDATE 5 July 2026: I don't think the PTT button should be RED until it is pressed and is in transmit. It is confusing that the PTT button is red all the time. I also think that the RX panel at the top should be in GREEN when in RX mode, or maybe a green or red border around the panel would be better?? Or alternatively you could maybe add a red and green led style indicator to the UI maybe? What do you think Joel to that idea? Congratulations! Great Work Joel.

excellent DMR app, easy to set-up, easy to add other networks to the selections, surperb TX audio as well as the RX audio compared to droidstar. i mainly use dmr so this app fits me just fine as i rarely use p25 or ysf... my opinion only... thank you joel, great work! only issue (maybe) is : trying to add the 2-digit suffix to dmrid then creates erroneous DMR ID#s, not showing proper info... no big deal, i know this app is still in birth-stage and always a few kinks-in-the-chain... 👍
