Just one issue This app is simple yet extremely useful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the app requires me to click on the notification screen when the alarm activates. This might not sound bad but I noticed that my phone will not automatically connect to Wifi again unless I do that. Ideally I would like the app to just play the selected sound of my choosing when I connect and/or disconnect from a specific Wifi SSID without the app requesting an action from me. Hearing the sound is enough to remind me of my "to do" item. If I still can't remember what the alarm I set was for then I can go and click the app to check what I wrote in the message area.
Great, but can't create alarms while wifi is off. Works well, good configurable alarms. Good defaults, too. I love that this app doesn't use GPS (and thus hog batteries). Problems: If you try to create an alarm while WIFI is off, you can't select a wifi location, can't save the alarm and it doesn't refresh when wifi turns on. Also, it won't memorize wifi locations that you haven't saved passwords for. This could use a TON of improvement. The developer should look at the Llama app for ideas.
Does not honor sound pref. Lacks obvious features. Even if you switch your phone to silent mode, the app generates audible alarms. Unless of course you configure its own silent mode, which nobody wants to do for every single app. That is why device OS's have a global setting for that. Thanks for waking me up in the middle of the night because of a wifi handshake. Speaking of which, this app has a hairtrigger. The slightest wifi disruption and off it goes! Very naive logic. Also, this program lacks "doh, obvious" features. There is no way to connect multiple access points being connected to the same alarm message object. If you want the same alarm on entering or leaving numerous hotspots, you have to duplicate it. There is no way to set a "wildcard" alarm that goes off when you enter and leave any access point whatsoever. You must make each alarm for a single specific hotspot. If you want an alarm which informs you that you're losing your Wi-Fi connection, regardless of SSID, you're out of luck. Thanks to tip contained in the August 6 review from Google User below, I'm now using Llama, which is great! Llama lacks just one little feature that this has, but it's not worth keeping this program installed for that.
Not on Nexus 4 Totally fails to work on Nexus 4. Developer has not responded to email I sent 4 days ago. 18 months since the last release suggests that this app is abandoned. Too bad: it looks like it does just what I want, I've found no adequate substitutes, and when it works the reviews are excellent.
Doesn't work on Nexus 4 No alarm either on check-in or check-out and no response from the developer. Has anyone found a working alternative?
doesn't work, no alarm, not on sign out or check out s3 4.3 stock rom
