With WearOS 6 (July 2025), Facer introduced a new architecture supporting Google’s Watch Face Format – way more performant especially on battery life. Hundreds of thousands of faces ready at launch. Designers are developing variants of popular faces that didn’t automatically convert – new faces released daily!

Watches that shipped with WearOS 5 & haven’t received WearOS 6 yet – our app shows a selection of faces available to download on Google Play. We expect these watches to update to WearOS 6 soon (newer Pixel & Samsung Galaxy watches already updated).

Watches that launched with WearOS 3 or 4, even if updated to WearOS 5 – our legacy Facer app continues to work with our massive catalog. HOWEVER, Google is removing our legacy watch app from the Play Store January 14th, 2026.
- New downloads of our legacy watch app & new purchases will not be possible after that date on these older watches.
- If you already have our watch app installed, subscriptions & purchased faces will keep working; however, you will not be able to renew your subscription or purchase new faces unless your watch updates to Wear OS 6.

Ratings and reviews

There are great watch faces, but there are also many that are just AI slop. they look terrible and I would much rather support people who created real art. Scrolling through the good ones and the AI ones is annoying. This whole thing would be so much better if they just didn't have AI images at all. And now, it isn't letting me switch watch faces from the watch. I can only do that with my phone and if the face is supposed to have multiple options, I can't change to any of those options.

I have to stay that I feel cheated. I installed the app and after installing, it pressures you to subscribe to the "Premium Edition." I subscribed, $29 a year or something like that. I ASSUMED that subscription gave you access to ALL of their watch faces for a year.... Unfortunately, that's not the case. You STILL have to pay for many of the watch faces. There was absolutely no mention of that when they were pressuring me to subscribe!! SHADY

While it's nice that they made the framework compatible for my watch, I'm still paying the same price as everyone else but with a very limited selection for my watch compared to the full library. Most of the good ones are either not available or incorrectly formated that it's useless on the Galaxy Watch Ultra (WearOS 6). it's especially apparent when you view highlights and see no warchface available.
