Judaism can be experienced also from smartphones and tablets. This is a must for every Jewish child! Let them play with this app for only 5 minutes a day and you will see how much more they learn about Judaism! This game improves memory, visual and auditory association of the child with Jewish festivals, helps the child make the connection between the Hebrew and the equivalent English element of the festival and increases their vocabulary and their Jewish identity.
This app looks great on any phone device and has been specially adapted to look even greater on tablets. This is a great educational tool as well as being a fun game for children to play and learn from.
Jewish Festivals Memory game is the first and only Jewish memory game for all ages. This is a full audio-visual memory game. So as the child or adult presses a card, they don’t only visually see the card, but also hear it. The user also sees the festivals elements spelled in Hebrew and phonetically as well as pronounced in both Hebrew and English.
It is a great (and the only) memory game for having fun and learning the names of customs and symbols of Jewish festivals. It strengthens the child’s association with the Jewish religion through a fun game, unlike any other app. This is a must for every Jewish child! Let them play with this app for only 5 minutes a day and you will see how much more they learn about Judaism!
The object of the game is to pair the same two objects. In Play mode is for learning and having fun. At the end of the game the user can then click on any of the elements and explore more about that element of the festival. Alternatively, the user can click on the Festi-pedia button on the first page and directly read and learn about the elements of a particular festival. The first two categories – Shabbat and Rosh Hashanah are free and give an idea of what to expect from the other festivals. The user has full flexibility. The user can either pick a particular festival/s they wish to buy, or they can buy all of them at a reduced rate and as a bonus eliminate the adverts at the bottom of the screen too.
The player needs to pair up the same object in both languages. Whenever a card is pressed, the player hears the word pronounced in either Hebrew or English, sees how it is written, and even sees how to pronounce it phonetically.
The player can click on a card and then click on it again to turn it upside down.
There are two different layout configurations for the player to choose from (split and mixed).
It develops the visual, linguistic and hand-and-eye co-ordination of the child and is great fun for child and adult alike!
