Knocking off 1 star for horrible instructions. Should play video right off the bat, but it's hidden under instructions in the menu. Instructions: First add the device in app. Turn off light at wall switch. Wait 10 sec. Turn on switch. In the app select the device (DO NOT USE REMOTE) Press the pair key on device in the app within 5 seconds of turning on. The light will flash and you have paired. The pair key on remote is to pair the remote to the fan/light as it is bluetooth also.

**READ IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE CONNECTING TO THE APP** I've been using the Remotes but tried off and on for months to connect to the app. After reading through the reviews I realized the instructions were unclear. When it says to press the Bluetooth button in the app within 5 seconds of powering on, it means flipping the light switch on the wall, not the power button on the remote. After realizing this I connected all three of my fans with no problem!!
