I rarely write reviews but feel it's warranted for this app. I'm not sure how this app even got out of QA / Unit Testing as it is riddled with issues. Where to start? App can't process calls in the background, grabs control of Bluetooth devices and won't release them without force stopping the app, constant connection drops, cryptic messages to use that unless you know networking you won't understand, voicemail doesn't prompt you for password so you have no clue when to enter it, the list goes on and on. Seriously, if I released a product this riddled with issues at work, I would be fired. It's honestly shocking.
The 1 goal of a phone app is to ensure the user can make and receive calls. This app is unable to stay connected so I regularly miss calls that I need to ring on both my desk phone and cell phone. They put a cool location based feature in this app which can enable/disable the phone when you enter/exit certain areas, but cool features like that are worthless if the app can't stay connected. This issue has been around since we started with Jive in July and has yet to be fixed. :-(
Very convenient to have my business extension on the go! If the call quality is poor, then your data or WiFi connection is much more likely to be the cause of the issue than the app itself...
Haven't had a single problem while using it. Its been great for both business and personal use!
Still horrible. Misses incoming calls, constantly losing the connection. Sometimes starts vibration on *outgoing* calls? The old app was a lot more usable.
This app will be the reason we ditch Jive. It doesn't stay connected, which means we can't receive calls and we lose business. That's a pretty fatal failure for a business essential service like this... You have to manually reconnect the app, which will just disconnect again in a few hours. I suspect this is a problem with Android app optimization and I've mentioned this to Jive Support months ago. No fix. They seemed oblivious to this problem, although you can see it's prevalent by reading the reviews here on their app.
