BirdWalk is designed to help birdwatchers, both new and experienced, find trails throughout Sacramento regions. The app is intended as a companion to the Sacramento Audubon Society’s (SAS) “Birding in the Sacramento Region”. Content about each trail is excerpted directly from this book. BirdWalk supplements the SAS’s teaching and community outreach about birds and where to see them.
Each site lists several birds that are likely to be seen at that location. For help identifying a bird you have spotted, you can check out the SAS's web site or consult “Birding In the Sacramento Region”.
Operational Issues, Safety and Liability
Operational issues such as park fees and hours and general safety precautions are mentioned in the “Read More About…” page. The Sacramento Audubon Society does not guarantee the accuracy of the directions, which should be followed with appropriate care. As conditions on trails may change, the SAS is not liable for any loss or injury.
