Jelly Bean Keyboard - The keyboard from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

This is the keyboard from Android 4.1 (codename Jelly Bean). I back ported it to work with all android deivces 1.6 and up. Everything is working except Speech Recognition will require android 2.2 or higher.

This essentially the same Jelly Bean Keyboard you will find in Android 4.1 but I made a few minor adjustments to it to make it work a little better.

It's even better than the original Jelly Bean keyboard:

- Learns from typing history, the more you type with this keyboard, the predictions will get faster and smarter!

- Compatible with most android devices

- Features that are incompatible with older phones were removed to make the keyboard faster

Cumbersome at best Voice recognition doesn't come anywhere close to what is spoken, just a random jumble of words. The keyboard will not delete whole words at once only character by character. The word suggestions rarely bring up the word I am trying to type and if it does at all it is when I have one character of a long word left to type.

My keyboard of choice! I LOVE this keyboard. ☺ I do NOT like the Google or Samsung keyboards on my Galaxy Note 2 (& now my Note 4), & love the ability to use the arrow keys on Jelly Bean keyboard! I have been using it as my default keyboard for ages, and I much prefer the ability to correct mistyping in Jelly Bean over the Google and Samsung keyboards!! I don't like the new emoji plugin though. 😞

Best keyboard I much prefer this to the stock Samsung one. Only downside is numbers are slower to access than on the stock one, but I can live with that as punctuation is so much quicker to use.

Great The generic Android keyboard was the only one I've used that didn't take half an hour to load on my device, but it has limited functionality. This is the best of both worlds, lightning fast, but with all the add-on of the best alternatives. The predictive text is very good, too. All it lacks for me are cursor buttons, but that's just a niggle. Well done guys :-)

Used to love, but it stopped auto correcting! What is this nonsense?? Now I have to use a drop down menu to select words like "isn't"? It won't automatically correct anything anymore, even though the option is turned on.

Backspace has made me bald I have used this keyboard for some time. Now, for some reason, when I have to use the backspace, I dread for my well being. Hold down the backspace, and it just jumps backwards in the text randomly deleting letters. It auto corrected a word incorrectly, and I hit backspace once go undo autocorrect and it put my original word in the middle of the last word typed. :). UPDATE: Still the same issues. I uninstalled, cleared the cache, data, and files out, rebooted, and still have the same issue.

Default email app on S4 Can y'all please fix the problem with the cursor jumping around everywhere when backspacing while composing an email with the default email app on the Galaxy S4? If you make a typo and hit the backspace key, 95% of the time after a few characters are deleted, the cursor will all of the sudden jump to random spots in the email and deletes random characters. No problems with the default keyboard, just this one! Paid for pro, so please fix this annoying issue!!!!

Best T9 out there, but... Can you please fix the T9 issues. I have to use multi touch too often. My own dictionary words rarely show up. Some things like chrome won't use T9 at all. This is the best T9 app out there but many things need to be fixed.

Just what I needed!! Love it!! Now i don't have to use the horrible google keyboard!! But if I could make just a few suggestions-- 1) allow us to customize the width and height of the keys, 2) customize the space between the keys (the larger screen makes my thumb stretch!!), and 3) find a way to control the brightness of the keyboard. (It's a smidge too dark on my current phone). Regardless if developers get around to it or not (Please!), the customizable options you've already given us make this hands down a 5 star app.

Does the job well Only application I could find which suits my purpose. Good, small problems are that the XT9 seems a bit off, and takes a moment to kick in after actually pressing the key, which is distracting and confusing, and therefore leads to a lot of errors. I would also love to be able to customise the position of the buttons, as the backspace, question mark and other punctuation are in an unnatural position (for me). Still, can't complain as this is the only app which performs a task as basic as this.
