Doesn't seem to be working these days. I decided to give this plugin another shake, but no matter what I do in Tasker, when I try to insert an action from this plugin, I receive an error about "plugin error: missing, disabled, not exported"
The BEST way to create location based profiles. AutoLocation is so much more efficient and dynamic than the built in Tasker alternatives. Definitely worth the $2 if you are creating a lot of location based profiles / tasks. Amazing developer, responsive on Google+, and his other plugins are just as good.
Was good Was a great app, but here lately it started giving a licensing error. Having Lucky Patcher installed for other reasons and not interacting with Tasker and it's plugins, really shouldn't be blamed on having Lucky Patcher installed. Especially not with having a receipt to prove I did buy it. As I do for all my apps. Sad.
Sometimes it doesn't work properly doesn't work (event not firing up) for movement like walking, stay still and many more. In another words, the activity movement doesn't work and maybe has bug even I put the confidence level to the lowest value to the 10 and I put the monitoring interval to at least 15 seconds. I tested walking around like half an hour (like a crazy guy just trying this app to see it works or not ) by displaying the output. Basically, it failed. The only thing that work is Geofencing but this is not important feature.. Many people happy the Geofencing feature work but many of them did not realize that the Geofencing feature is a built in function in tasker. You don't have to use 3rd party app!! They are happy because they did not have time to dig up features in Tasker. This is the second time I'm spending time trying your plugin mostly on the Activity features. I spent many hours to make it work, enable Autolocation in the device manager, enable in accessibility, etc.. disable many hibernation app that may cause the problem. i'm using note 3 with kitkat 4.4.2. You know unhappy customer should have refund.
Study the tutorials! AutoLocation is great stuff, but you really do need to do your homework beforehand, instead of just diving in to the app and Tasker. The trick is to have two circular fences around your target location, and increase the location sampling rate when you enter the outer one and decrease it when you enter the inner one. In this way you only burn battery when you approach your destination and need accurate fixes. I'm sure I have more to learn ...
It works ... sort of. My initial test setup: - A geofence area of 260 meters around my house. - High accuracy turned on in location settings (Android). - WiFi turned on (helps with location based on visible APs) - AutoLocation Activity and Location monitors turned off (According to the documentation, GeoFence will poll location according to it's own schedule, but that schedule can be modified by turning on Location monitoring.). I wrote a simple tasker script that simply says when the geofence is entered/exited. Well, regardless if the screen is on/off (WiFi sleep policy kicks in when the screen is off), I get constant enter/exit alerts for the geofence. Second phase: I turned on Location monitoring to attempt to fine-tune the polling. This made it worse. If I have the interval set to 15 seconds, I get a geofence exit/enter every 15 seconds. It appears that when the location monitor polls, it causes all active geofences to momentarily exit and then re-enter. I've watched the battery like a hawk, and it introduces significant drain (over and beyond using Tasker's built-in location scenes). I would not recommend this software.
