Hi there. So I'm trying to use AutoVoice with the Google assistant on my phone to control RM2 device. It says in a tutorial video that I can say to G assistant: Ok Google, ask AutoVoice to Turn on tv. And that AutoVoice recognises that as: Turn on tv. In my case, when I say this, AutoVoice replies: to turn on tv and does nothing, because the command is "Turn on tv" not "to turn on tv". I feels unnatural to say to Google: Ok Google, ask AutoVoice turn on tv. Can you please check this?
[I'm amending my review, changing from 3 stars to 5, mainly because of the responsiveness of João, the developer, who answered my concern promptly. He explained that Autovoice mutes the alarm by design, since otherwise the voice command could not be heard above the alarm. He gave some suggestions for a work around, which I'll try out. Thanks, João.] Trying a profile to snooze/dismiss clock alarm by voice. It appears that as soon as autovoice is triggered, the alarm is muted. It's still going (the banner top of screen still gives options to snooze or dismiss), but alarm sound mutes). I narrowed problem to the triggering of autovoice, as I trigger the profile when the alarm event occurs. Then, "wait" 10 seconds, then "say" a short phrase, then start autovoice continuous. The alarm sounds until after the phrase is said. So autovoice must be muting the alarm. The clock is native Android (Galaxy S8) ver. 184.108.40.206. Ideas? Thanks!
Love the app alot... Kudos to developer.. One little thing is toasts in oreo 8.1 looks odd as the toast color has been changed to white in 8.1.. please look into it
*** update *** : I found that installing AutoInput solved that issue. I don't know why, but now it works flawlessly. ******* Thank you for answering. I realized that when I say "ok google" from home screen and saying my command, AutoVoice not always take control and show a flash of what i said, nor running the Tasker event -- it happens 50% of the times, not all the time. But, when I'm already in the google now app and then I'm saying "ok google" and say a command, then it always working - i see the command flash, and my Tasker command being done.
I am on paid version from autoapps. Autovoice commands are cropped. It crops the last word from the command. For ex: tell autovoice AC on. The command sent is AC. I have to say tell autovoice ac on blahblah it takes AC on and skips blahblah. Crazy
