ParaPara is a Japanese dance style built around expressive hand movements, danced to Eurobeat and Hyper Techno music. It originated in the late 1980s and remains active in clubs today, with new choreography still being created every month.
ParaPara Lovers is the official mobile companion to paraparalovers.com — one of the most comprehensive references for ParaPara and TechPara on the web. With thousands of formal videos and CDs in the catalog, the app exists to organize this content and make it easily searchable.
What's inside:
ParaPara Database — Browse video listings (typically VHS/DVD releases) for ParaPara choreography. This is the most complete database on the platform.
TechPara Database — The same format as the ParaPara Database, but focused on TechPara, a style of dance danced to Hyper Techno music rather than Eurobeat.
CD Tracklist Database — A reference for the Eurobeat and Hyper Techno CDs that the choreography is based on.
Lesson Database — An up-to-date listing of ParaPara and TechPara lessons, updated regularly to reflect new choreography coming out of the clubs.
Note: Since much of the choreography output originates in Japan, Japanese text is used throughout for research accuracy and is not always translated into English. All databases are ongoing works in progress — content may be added or corrected at any time.
