I use this to control MC27 for music. App works super well for playing, pausing, forwarding, or reversing the tracks if you want those functions when you are away from your computer. Otherwise, it's basically worthless, especially for the amount of money they charge. - You can't save a song to a playlist (the long press mentioned in another post seems awkward after several seconds without any response) - If you update the rating of the song, it rarely will actually update the rating on the computer - I have to open the app every time my screen goes dark. It hates being available for use For .99, this would be fantastic as I do enjoy being able to control my tracks from desk - I have a work space in a different area than the computer. For the price charged, you're better off getting the extra steps in.

Almost unusable if a good part of your listening is of classical music. On a phone the basic screen is 3 x 4 albums with only one line of text--and only full words allowed. So you can see "Beethoven" but nothing else. Much wasted space where space is at a premium. Compare with Eos (great alternative written for JRiver program, though no longer available) which has 3 x 5 albums same size, with much better use of space, AND two lines of text. So I can see: "Beethoven - Piano Concerto 5 - Fleish..." JRiver should have started with Eos code and gone on from there. Now they have their second Remote failure in a row. The waste of screen space continues as you move from the album icons into the sound files. Ravel's Daphnis ballet as seen on Eos, for example, lists 12 parts and more on the screen. JRver lists 7 and lots of blank screen. You have to scroll to see the rest. It's just a bit silly IMO. Mobile phone screen space is valuable; it should be used efficiently. ---Developer replies that he gets more albums on his screen. But he has a bigger phone! Also you can change the size of the albums. My comparisons were for same size albums on the same phone.

Please make any requests on our forum. On my phone (Note 10), the album display is 4x5.

Don't buy this, buy MO 4Media instead. JRiver for Android started well but seems to have had its funding pulled. It's unstable and there seems no prospect of it catching up with the JRemote for Apple version. Queries about when booklet viewing will be available go unanswered. The MO alternative is both stable and let's you view your album booklets.
