I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out how adding the "net.tether.noprovisioning" line to my build.prop could break my camera and flashlight functionality. I've finally figured it out! This tool was saving the permissions incorrectly, rending the camera app unable to read the build.prop, causing major system hangups. Try another editor until this one is working properly again or find a way to modify the build.prop permissions to 0644 after saving with this app.
The app installed OK, and I was able to successfully edit and save the ro.build.type file in order to get Multi-Windows mode in Developer Options of my Lenovo K3 Note running Marshmallow 6.0. The problem is that the multi-window is enabled, the black window icon appears superimposed above the lock icon on apps in the Task Manager. So I inadvertently end up locking the app instead of getting it in another window. How to disable the lock icon ? Can someone please help ?
It set the permissions wrong after editing with this tool, build.prop was set to chmod 0600 instead of chmod 0644 like it's supposed to be, making it unreadable as a normal user and causing issues with some apps
Not working....waste of time. this app is not letting me to edit single character of build.prop file....always showing error....and promoting many useless apps.....even i checked it in rooted and other device.
No edit faulty Editing in standard mode doesn't save correctly. I see the change in txt editor, but different entry in std mode
It works where others do not. I was able to edit my build.properties whereas others I tried just hung. Advertising is a bit intrusive, but I understand the developers need to make money.
