Read all the tutorials you can. This will give you a lot of control over what boots up every time you turn on your phone. You can save a lot of power by just freezing apps but you don't want to use except on certain occasions. Then you can unfreeze them. Maybe there are even better ways of doing it. I like the advanced features more each time I learn a new one. Probably can really enhance security by turning off or by clearing choice app data reporting features.
WAS a fantastic app... This used to be one of my favorite apps. That was until I got a device with Android 5.1.1 lollipop. Now almost nothing in this app works right (Using ROM Toolbox Pro version 188.8.131.52). I can't freeze/thaw apps, I can't modify root folders (even if I have all the permissions set correctly) and I can't change my boot animation. There are a number of other issues but these are just the most recent. I keep hearing there will be a "major" update, but that's been said for over a year now... Where is it?!
If you have root you need this app bottom line, nothing compares to this app and all the features it offers. Anything else is a waste of your money. If you run into any problems Google it before you rate this app. Features seem to be added or improved with each release and the developer doesn't show signs of stopping. I have never had problems with the app. I love the built in App Manager & Task Manager. The Root Browser is simple and very well made and doesn't look cartoon-ish like other file managers.
This app was wonderful back in 2012 on my S3. But unfortunately, it's no longer useful in the post KitKat world where roms now have too many security parameters. It's been fun, JRummy. This was the 1st app I ever paid for. But alas, I must say goodbye.
Best thing to replace ROM Manager minus the fix permissions feature of ROM Manager. I can't find that feature in any other ROM utility so far. I can only hope for the feature in a future release of ROM Toolbox (Pro?). Then it will get 5-stars without any reservations.
Awesome It is everything you need as rooted phone user. UPDATE: Autostart Manager doesn't show apps with receivers (as it did in pre-LP versions) after scanning, I thought the long awaited update would fix this issue, still great app though. UPDATE2: Autostart Manager is supported now in LP and onwards versions.
- Update to latest Terminal Emulator
