Review from A Google User
Well worth every cent. Dev is always working to improve this app, it just keeps getting better. Update: Root browser is working great again, cpu, memory, and sd boost settings won't take, now or at boot still for me. Long time user, since my very first foray into rooting my phone years ago, but it seems like he has upgraded all the tools in the box separately and neglected to put the updated ones back in. That was the point of the toolbox and more to the point the pro version of it. I understand that because I am on a tablet and not one new enough or mainstream enough I don't get much compatibility out of some things because I don't have a custom ROM etc, but the tools that are universal are still rock solid minimalist apps. Designed for compactness and functionality over eyecandy and fluff. Dev has historically been prompt at answering support requests, but the scope of what he can and will help you with is sometimes limited whether it's because of your device model, stock ROM, or caused by a different app he doesn't control, he has always been friendly in his communication, but in no way is it a substitute for your own research and educating yourself about what changes you are getting ready to make to your Android. Would still recommend this or any app he developed based on it being his work, but they are usually specific in design to perform specific function. Don't get a torque wrench to pound in nails😉 wish I knew enough to make my own custom ROM, but I can't even find a compatible recovery atm, CWM and TWRP both don't support my device and are not likely to ever. Hate to think I may have to replace this on my must have for rooted list because he isn't supporting it anymore. I hope all the recent reviews I skimmed were inaccurate.
I've used and loved this app for years, however, the most recent update that removed the app manager. That feature was the best part of this app. It seems the developer is aware of the displeasure this caused and is working on a solution. It really is a fantastic app, so please give it a shot once the developer can update it to fit within Google's policies. P.S. If you're the developer and reading this, is it possible to revert to a prior version? If so, PM me if possible. Either way, love the app, used it for years, don't let the negativity get you down. Devs understand. <3
Why offer other apps when this apps purpose it to provide all in one. Im very disappointed your taking a different route. Ill take the RB Editor though. As for all else i dont need 30 apps i need a multi tool
Something happened during the last update. Lost App Manager across two different devices rooted two different ways with two different Android versions. Old Rom Toolbox .apk fixed it. Bug. Nowhere else to report it. Sorry. Thanks for the reply, McKenna. Turned off Auto-update for now. Keep us updated. Thought I was losing my marbles.
This has been an absolute must-have for me for years. I primarily used it for app management (freeze, uninstall, backup etc), especially the in-depth app permissions management that allowed for real hardcore wake-lock etc. management. I am extremely disappointed with the newest update that removed app management completely! What the mathing math, jrummy?! You've been my an hero for years... Now I'm sad.
I couldn't live without it - until the App manager was removed. There are better file management apps but I really relied on the app manager so it had been worth the purchase - no longer.
Dude why the hell would you take away App Manager? I have been backing up apps with it for years and now I cannot restore them. I am reverting to an older version and will update this review when you put App Manager back. In the meanwhile, I'll be migrating to Titanium since I lost trust in you.
