This is the most user friendly app and it was a brilliant idea to teach taglish. After the first few lessons I asked a young lady out to dinner. She has turned me down several times but when I asked her taglish she was so tickled that she said yes. Just making an effort to speak local languages makes a world of difference and this app is spot in for getting me on my way. Once done with the free version I will definitely buy the paid version. Really appreciate what you folks have put together....keep up the great work!
A good app from what I've seen of the free version, grammar is fairly well explained and we'll constructed. A more repetitive quiz function for review might help with retention though. All told very promising, but I won't be purchasing the full version until I'm more confident that there is enough content to make it worthwhile. Would rather pay 15-20 dollars for a more comprehensive tool than 5 for the few scatter shot lessons that seem to currently exist. Will continue following this app and company closely though. I like the idea of being better able to communicate with my Filipino co-workers.
Thanks Phil, you don't know how happy I am that I'm starting to learn and understand tagalog. My partners jaw dropped when, I answered a question and asked questions to her in tagalog. Long road ahead still but some far I really appreciate you putting this great introduction in for casual conversations.
The app is great and teaches you the foundations and sentence structure so you're not just learning random words and phrases. However, the app design is poor: navigation is difficult, you often have to quit the app to get back to the home page. Also, if you get a question wrong, the app doesn't give you the correct answer. How am I supposed to know if you don't provide the right answer?
Start speaking fast There are 6 lessons in this free version. They focus on getting you speaking Taglish immediately. The explanations are simple and easy to understand. There are quizzes at the end of each lesson. My only complaint is that the quizzes don't seem to have an option to show the right answer when you get a question wrong. Ideally the right answer would appear along with a simple explanation of why that's the right answer.
Fantastic. The first app that's really made me comfortable attempting to speak tagalog. I just tried to first free lesson of the worthless highest reviewed app which gouges hundreds of dollars.....let's call it stonehenge.....this teaching method is infinitely superior. BTW for anyone who hasn't seen how awful it is, stonehenge shows you a photo, says a sentence in tagalog and then shows you different photos while saying a totally different sentence. WT? This is an infinitely superior way of teaching. Highly recommended.
