About Kamini Desai:

For the last 25 years Kamini has created unique body of teachings combining the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern psychology.

She is the Education Director and Core Curriculum Developer of the Amrit Yoga Institute, a cutting edge teaching center for advanced studies in eastern philosophy. She is one of three Founding Directors of the International University of Yoga and Ayurveda with Dr. Vijay K Jain, MD and Dr. Shekhar Annambhotla.

Considered an expert in the inner sciences of yoga, relaxation and artful living, she is a frequent guest speaker and teacher at various nationally accredited institutions and in over 10 countries worldwide. In 2012 she was awarded the title of Yogeshwari (a woman of yogic mastery) for her keen ability to bring ancient illumination to the genuine challenges of the human experience.

Kamini is the acclaimed author of the book, “Yoga Nidra: The Art of Transformational Sleep,” which uniquely illuminates the ancient teachings of Yoga Nidra with modern science and psychology.

This app provides 3 wonderful meditations that enable me to quiet my mind and relax my body. Kamini's voice is calming, and her cadence is wonderful, encouraging me to reach a state of complete relaxation. I recommend this app to anyone who desires to reduce their levels of stress in life. I use this app nearly everyday, and feel better, calmer, and rejuvenized. I AM blessed. Thank you. ~ Bo

I just tried to install this app. No icon on my phone. Only way to access seems thru play store. Right now I am quite disappointed, but the silly 2 hour window doesn't allow a refund. Glad it wasn't very expensive. I eventually found the app on my device. I expected to see it as "amYogaNidra" or "yogaNdra". Instead it's "Kamini Desai" which I don't find intuitive.

Frankly, I'm disappointed. The app works. The voice is pleasant. But little detail. I'm an experienced meditator, and done YN for some time. Despite the credentials offered, not even close to worth the money. Surprised.

We want you to have a great experience! Places to check out in the app: "Before we Begin" at the top of main page with details on setup/frequency of practice. Tap any Yoga Nidra title for full descriptions of when to use, techniques and intentions used (use Lotus at bottom as back button). "About" has some general information on Yoga Nidra.

What's new

This update includes two new meditations: Safe & At Peace and Sleep Deeply. We have improved the navigation and styling of the app for your convenience. Last but not least we squashed some bugs and improved the performance of the app.
